Asics Piranha SP 3
$110.00
Released September, 2009
The Pros:Simple design feels very light, won't contribute to fatigue. Good response for technical runners, cushioning doesn't absorb much of the energy used. Tread grips the ground firmly without being overly large.
The Cons:No real impact absorption - non-technical runners can expect sore knees and shins. Doesn't look very attractive - tangle of lines in the design is just distracting.
The Asics Piranha SP 3 is a very lightweight running shoe built to allow sockless running. The shoe weighs just 4.6 oz, and features Ecsaine lining to allow for a comfortable and soft fit even when running without socks.
