The Cons:Shoes get hot in the summer. Shoe is slightly heavy, can contribute to fatigue on a longer run. Stiffer than typical running shoes, takes some time to break them in.

The GEL-Trabuco 12 G-TX is a performance running shoe from Asics' Trail series for off-road training.  The shoe features Asics' DuoMax support system which allows it to maintain support during transition.

  It includes Asics' GEL cushioning system in both the forefoot and rearfoot for shock absorption during impact and toe-off.  The shoe also has a performance trail outsole for traction and a high performance GORE-TEX upper which is lightweight, breathable, and durable.  The GEL-Trabuco 12 G-TX includes an AHAR heel plug and has a memory foam-lined collar which allows for a personlized heel fit.  It also has a SpEVA midsole for durability and shock absorption.  The shoe is available in both men's and women's designs and has a suggested retail price of $100.
