Asics GEL-Stratus 2.1

The Asics GEL-Stratus 2.1 is a running shoe built to be a light weight trainer. It weighs 9.1 ounces, due in part to the midsole being made with SpEVA that cushions and remains light. The upper is an open mesh with very some synthetic for durability, allowing air to move in and out of the shoe.

Strong impacts are absorbed by the GEL cushioning system, and a Trusstic system links the rearfoot and forefoot while supporting the midfoot. Use of heavier elements for durability have been omitted in this case to keep the weight down.
