Asics GEL-Frantic 4
$85.00
Released January, 2008
The Pros:Impact absorption is very good, especially for over-pronators. Enough support for the average runner. Offers a great deal of cushioning, avoids sore feet.
The Cons:Shoes are a little heavy, can make your legs tired on a longer run. Insoles are not ideal for very high arches, will need to be replaced. Technical runners will find these not structured enough and too cushioned.
Asics' GEL-Frantic 4 is a men's or women's shoe intended for running and potentially to be used as a cross trainer. It has a shock-attenuating heel insert that is supposed to reduce the force of impact against the ground, and a gel covering that is supposed to make the heel region more comfortable and absorbent during the rest of the step.

It also has a midsole region that is supposed to connect the front of the foot to the rear, while supporting the middle and protecting it from twisting. The front of the insole, like the rear, has an absorbent gel layer. The outsole is made of rubber and the shoe has a design that is supposed to be stylish and appropriate for everyday use.
