Asics GEL-DS Racer 8
$100.00
Released September, 2009
The Pros:Ideal for racing, don't loose any of the runner's energy. Ideal support for over-pronators, keeps landings comfortable. Enough arch support for most runners.
The Cons:If used daily will wear out fast. Laces aren't very snug across the top, only a problem with some foot shapes.
The Asics GEL-DS Racer 8 is a mid-range racing shoe focused on moderate support and maximum breathability. What sets it apart from the Asics GEL-Intensity or GEL-Tarther is the Magic Sole system which uses vents in the midsole and outsole to minimize the weight and move air in and out of the shoe.

Solyte has been used in the midsole for maximum comfort, and a lighter weight trusstic system is used for faster turnover. The dual density midsole system supports and stabilizes the foot. California slip lasting is used to connect the upper and sole in a durable and comfortable fashion.
