Asics GEL-Antares

Asics' GEL-Antares is an entry-level men's shoe designed for running. It has a gel cushioning system below the insole that is supposed to provide shock attenuation throughout the entire step, as well as a separate heel plug that helps absorb the harder shock of impact.

The midsole is made of compressed ethyl-vinyl acetate, which is supposed to increase the shoes' comfort, and it also uses Asics "Trusstic" feature, which is supposed to support the middle and arch region of the foot. The GEL-Antares is also supposed to be lightweight. It has a rubber outsole.
