The Pros:Good arch support for running long distance. Comfortable right away, no break-in period. Light and low-profile enough to wear casually throughout the day, never feel cumbersome or awkward.
Adidas' ZX8000 shoes are intended solely for running and incorporate many of Adidas' standard features. These include a shock-absorbent heel area and lightweight absorbent elastic toe region (referred to as "adiPRENE" and "adiPRENE+" respectively).

They have a mesh upper lining that is supposed to maximize ventilation, and the midsole is built around an anatomically molded ethyl-vinyl acetate insole. It also uses Adidas' "TORSION" feature which is supposed to protect and support the midfoot region and prevent sideways twisting. The outsole region is made largely out of a soft, spongy material, but uses thin blown rubber regions for better traction control. This helps to reduce the weight of the shoe. The ZX8000's outsoles are also supposed to conform to the shape of the ground and adaptable to changes in terrain. They are available in several different vibrant color schemes.
